How to Choose Your Lingerie Size Online in Indonesia
Share
Buying lingerie online should feel considered, not uncertain. The most reliable starting point is a fresh set of measurements, especially when you are comparing different silhouettes such as balconette bras, soft-cup styles, corsets and bodysuits. This guide explains how to measure at home and how to use those numbers when ordering designer lingerie in Indonesia.
Measure your underbust
Wear an unpadded bra or measure directly against the skin. Place a soft measuring tape around your ribcage, immediately beneath the bust. Keep the tape level across your back and comfortably firm without pulling it tight. Exhale normally and record the measurement in centimetres.
Your underbust measurement is the first reference for selecting a bra band. If you are between sizes, the right choice also depends on how firm the band feels, how much stretch the fabric has and the design of the bra. A new band should feel supportive on the loosest hook so that you can tighten it gradually as the elastic naturally relaxes.
Measure the fullest part of your bust
Keep the tape parallel to the floor and measure around the fullest point of your bust. The tape should rest lightly against the body without compressing the breast tissue. Measure while standing naturally, with your shoulders relaxed.
The difference between the bust and underbust measurements helps identify a starting cup size. Because cup volume changes together with the band, the same cup letter does not represent exactly the same volume across every band size. This is why measurements are a guide rather than a replacement for fit advice.
How to check the fit of a bra
- Band: it should sit horizontally around the body and stay in place when you lift your arms.
- Cups: the breast should be fully contained without spilling, cutting in or leaving empty space.
- Centre front: on underwired styles, it should sit comfortably against the chest where the design allows.
- Straps: they should feel secure without carrying all the support or leaving deep marks.
- Underwire: it should follow the breast root and should not rest on breast tissue.
Choosing panties, garter belts and bodysuits
For panties and garter belts, measure the natural waist and the fullest part of the hips. Keep the tape flat and avoid measuring over bulky clothing. For bodysuits, height and torso length can be as important as bust, waist and hip measurements. If you are between sizes or have a longer torso, speak with our team before ordering so we can consider the construction and stretch of the exact model.
Why styles can fit differently
A balconette, triangle bra, push-up, longline bra and corset can feel different even when the size label is the same. Lace, mesh, elastic, lining and underwire shape all influence the fit. The most useful information is therefore your measurements together with the name of the piece you are considering.
